A week from tonight Primary Information will host an event at White Columns celebrating Mary Heilmann’s book The All Night Movie. The evening will feature a conversation between Heilmann, writer/curator Randy Kennedy, and the book’s original designer Mark Magill.
The free event takes place January 29th at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30 PM and attendance is on a first-come basis. White Columns is located at 91 Horatio Street (between West and Washington Street).
In June, Primary Information released a facsimile of Heilmann’s classic and long out-of-print The All Night Movie, which the artist has described as “the story of my life, told in words, painted images and photographs.” Equal parts artist book, monograph, and memoir, the publication provides an intimate window into the artist’s life, work, and friendships.
Books will be available for purchase at the event.
