Produced for the 2014 Canadian Art Foundation's fundraising gala, this work was distributed to every guest at the dinner and was accompanied by an ambient video and gobo light centrepieces.
The book comes housed in a foil-stamped card stock envelope and each spread presents a different shape, with a mirrored cover endpaper completing the first and last. Additionally, another simple shape sits in between the pages.
"A book to be considered in the round and in the folds. Each of the page-spreads feature a hybrid of conventional shapes, designed so that when a page is turned and held perpendicular to the book, the pages on either side collaborate to form a recognizable symmetrical geometric shape. The mirrored cover endpaper completes the first and last shape. The foil-stamped asterisk on the cover illustrates the book as a proposed sculpture."
