Eichhörnchen
Rome, Italy: Galleria La Medusa, 1969
23 x 17.5 x 8 cm.
Edition of 100 unsigned and undated copies
not signed or dated
Eichhörnchen (or Squirrel) was produced thirty years after the artist's similar Breakfast in fur solidified her place in the history of Surrealism. The work consists of a beer stein, almost overflowing with imitation foam beer, with its handle replaced by a fluffy squirrel tail.
