The Residents | Satisfaction

The Residents
Satisfaction
San Francisco, USA: Ralph Records, 1978
7" 45 rpm disk, yellow vinyl
Edition of 30,000

Originally released in 1976 in an edition of 200 copies, the Resident's take on the Rolling Stones' [I Can't Get No] Satisfaction was re-released two years later on the band's label Ralph Records, which they ran from 1972 to 1977, after which they left it in other hands, with it eventually becoming New Ralph Records. The label released disks by Half Japanese, Tuxedomoon, Fred Frith, Yello, and Snakefinger, who provided lead guitar for Satisfaction. The track also features backing vocals by The Pointless Sisters.
