Creative Time | DNA Deli Coffee Cups
In 2000 Creative Time commissioned a series of artist designed deli coffee cups "to spark public imagination around genetic research and how it will radically impact our daily lives." The cups, featuring designs by Roz Chast, Maira Kalman, Cary Leibowitz/Candyass, Larry Miller and Tom Tomorrow. were available in coffee shops and bodegas in all five boroughs, including Jerry's (Prince and Mercer), Sacred Chow (Hudson & 10th St), Manhattan Heroes (27th St. & 7th Ave.) and The Muffin Shop (70th St. & Columbus Ave.). They were also available for sale as a set from Printed Matter and Art Metropole.
