Below is the original handwritten score, from Reich's book Writings About Music (1974, the NSCAD Press) and Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo performing (with Alan Licht et al) the original Reich piece. Ranaldo lives in the same building as Reich and counts him as a major influence. Sonic Youth recorded a version of the work for their 1999 double LP SYR4: Goodbye 20th Century.
