Venet Bernar
Exploited Subjects
New York City, USA: Multiples, Inc., 1970
18 pp., 18 x 18 cm., metal rings
Edition of 1200

Bernar Venet once stated "since I am not interested in problems of forms, color and material, it goes without saying that my evolution could not be aesthetic." This slim Artist's Book features drawings constructed through mathematical formulas and performances done in collaboration with nuclear and solar physicists.

The title is edited by gallerist Marian Goodman and includes photographs of Venet's performances by Shrunk-Kender. The pages are printed on thick cardstock boards, bound together with four steel rings. One page folds out.

The title was originally issued as a part of the box "Artists & Photographs", which also featured Mel Bochner, Christo, Jan Dibbets, Dan Graham, Joseph Kosuth, Bruce Nauman, Dennis Oppenheim, Robert Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscah, Andy Warhol and others. See below.
