Bjork retrospective at the MoMA

Last week, New York City's Museum of Modern Art announced that Bjork's Biophilia app (above) was purchased for their permanent collection, the first downloadable app that they have acquired.

Yesterday the MoMA announced a "full-scale" Bjork retrospective to open on March 7th, 2015. The exhibition will be organized by Chief Curator Klaus Biesenbach and will draw from more than 20 years of solo work from the ex-Sugarcubes singer. Their press release states that the show will "chronicle her career through sound, film, visuals, instruments, objects, costumes, and performance. The installation will present a narrative, both biographical and imaginatively fictitious, cowritten by Björk and the acclaimed Icelandic writer Sjón Sigurdsson."

The exhibition will run through June 7, 2015, with MoMA as the sole venue.
