"If I didn’t already own these two recent editions by Vanessa Maltese I would be thrilled to find them under my Christmas tree. Any art lover would. These handsome presentations could not look and feel more different, yet as folios, they share a sensuous tactility. Both of these accomplished artworks need to be touched to be viewed and it’s through opening and unfolding them that we see, and feel, their full aesthetic impact.

It’s an added bonus that given all the press and praise Vanessa Maltese has garnered as an award winning painter she is still releasing work that is eminently affordable. Purchasing either of these editions will give you lifelong pleasure, while your grandchildren will benefit by inheriting some of the exciting artwork being made in Canada in 2015."

Bob MacIntyre has been the Preparator and Exhibition Coordinator at the Burnaby Art Gallery since the fall of 1996 and is responsible for curating the gallery’s exhibits in Burnaby’s Public Libraries. Past exhibitions there have included work from Paul and Wendy Projects, Michael Dumontier, Image Bank and Paul de Guzman.
