A birth announcement from Michael Snow and his wife Peggy Gale, announcing their first and only child, Aleck, in 1982. For me, the addition of the words "weather report" at the top left elevate this from personal ephemera into artist project.
Today I've felt the need to unearth every book, record, video and piece of printed material by Michael that has made it's way into my home.
He was hospitalized Thursday night and died yesterday, at the age of 94. An Artforum obituary has just been posted, here. Uncharacteristic for an Artforum obit, it mentions both an artist book and record.
