Continuing the “destruction” theme - at least until the three talks I’m giving on the topic are completed - here is a work by Yoko Ono from 2018, created for the Gardiner Ceramic Museum in Toronto.
On the last day of the exhibition visitors were invited to take home some of the destroyed and repaired works from her Mend Piece.
Cleaning Piece for Gardiner reads “Clean your mind, clean the world, clean the universe. Take a tiny piece of show. Add colour to the box, send it with love. Yoko, Spring 2018.”
