Between the Future and the Past
Toronto, Canada: Self-published, 2012
28 x 8 cm
Edition of 20
A minimal hourglass painted black to become a quiet sound work or a desktop sculpture that lets you measure the passing of time by weight. While clearly bisected, the future and past become fluid. Reminds me of some of Takako Saito's chess sets for some reason.
The work sold out within days of publication. The above shot was taken at J&S's party tonight, M&L's home, P&W's home and our own. If you have one, send in a pic and I'll add it.
