Graham turns the title of a 1968 LP by ukulele player and falsetto singer Tiny Tim into a tribute to the late musician, best known for "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" and for marrying his 17 year old bride on the Tonight Show, with Johnny Carson officiating (power companies reported overloads when more than 40 million people tuned in to watch).

God Bless Tiny Tim is the beak-nosed troubadour's first album, produced by Richard Perry (Captain Beefheart, Harry Nilsson, Diana Ross, Ringo Starr). It featured an orchestrated version of the 1929 song "Tip-Toe Thru' The Tulips" (which reached #17 on the hit parade) and a version of Sony and Cher's "I Got You Babe", in which Tiny Tim duets with himself, performing both the baritone and falsetto roles.

Tiny Tim died in 1996, onstage, singing his signature song.

"Each number of this edition consists of a set of two sealed envelopes: one signed, dated, and numbered by Lexier and one signed, dated, and numbered by Monk.  As indicated by the text, each envelope contains another envelope (which is signed by the other artist), a circular play on what is hidden inside, like a set of matryoshka dolls.

This collaboration between Toronto-based Lexier and Berlin-based Monk was produced in two versions, a European version published by MOREpublishers (Brussels, BE) and a North American version by Paul + Wendy Projects (Toronto, CA), making use of the respective standard business-sized envelope sizes."

A facsimile of a series of letters, which also reproduces the rhythm of the original exchange. Buyers subscribe to the project and receive fifteen envelopes over the course of the year. The correspondence
documents a conversation between Garcia and Agnieszka Gratza a resident of Second Home, London. Second Home is a "creative workspace and cultural venue, bringing together diverse industries, disciplines and types of social businesses."

The facsimile letters will periodically be accompanied by additional items, such as postcards or clippings. The suite of letters constitutes the complete work.

The project is the 85th in the hors série, and follows a similar format to Jonathan Monk's postcard project A copy of Richard Hamilton Whitley Bay, 1965 (#43), and Liam Gillick’s A Question of Development (#66).

More Publishers, whose previous projects included the "Sunday series" (with works by Walid Raad, Cory Arcangel, Claude Closky, Sylvie Fleury, Robert Barry, Pierre Bismuth, Dora Garcia, etc.) and "Hors série" (Mathieu Mercier, Yann Sérandour, Jochen Lempert, Joe Scanlan, Allen Ruppersberg, etc.) launched a new series called "Public Poster Program" at the beginning of 2016.

"Public Poster Program" is a one-year exhibition program consisting of twelve projects. Each month of the year an artist is invited to produce a large industrial screen-printed poster. Over the course of the year the posters will be on view in office-like metal and glass display cases hung in public areas.

On Sunday, MORE announced that the May poster would be produced by Jonathan Monk, who has previously contributed #11 in the "Sunday series", and three separate works as part of "Hors série". Monk's  The Magnetism of Colour is a four-colour silkscreen print packaged with a 10 coloured magnets to hang the print on a metal board. The edition is signed and numbered on a adhesive label, glued on the back of the package of magnets. Once the work is installed the leftover of the package serves as a certificate.

"Flea market is a  a project by Rob Pruitt where everyday he posts an item on Ebay: worn clothes, silly items., etc. He sells the most diverse objects- for ridiculous prices mostly. Each item then comes with a signed print- showing the object on a cloud and sky background. (If you type Rob Pruitt in ebay you will find them).

Rob Pruitt's bookclub is similar: every day he sells a selection of his books. Mostly sets of two books - the selection of books are based upon funny combinations of titles, or for example a book about Norway + a tourist guide, etc., etc. Each book then is stamped with a bookmark indicating that it comes from his 'Bookclub collection'. These are similarly ridiculously low priced - sometimes you're the only one bidding and then you buy the items for 1 $ (+ shipping costs). I've done it a few times and it's always a good service. The items arrive quickly.

I like this project a lot! He also made a book which includes all the of the sold items and indicates the price that they sold for. It's like a biography of the artist through things he didn't need anymore.

WIELS Art Book Fair

The 2015 WIELS Art Book Fair takes place next weekend, with Motto Books, Afterall, Christophe Daviet-Thery éditions, MOREpublishers, Gevaert Editions, Luïscius Books, NERO, Witte de With and many other publishers participating (see full list, above).

The opening reception takes place Friday September 11th, from 6 to 9pm and the fair is open the following Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 6pm.

The fair includes the launch of Word Magazine, with local live bands taking over the ground floor of WIELS, the annual Brussels International Underground Poetry Festival, and other complementary programmes (lectures, etc.) not yet listed.
