A follow-up to the original Grappa Fluxus, four years prior. A Serigraphed wooden box with hinged doors, containing glass blown works by six artists affiliated with Fluxus:  Eric Andersen, Dick Higgins, Milan Knizak, Takako Saito, Mieko Shiomi, Ben Vautier.

"In 1995 Luigi Bonotto asked me to design a bottle for Grappa (Italian brandy). I wanted to make a bottle whose shape has features of wind instruments and string instruments, yet is none of them – an imaginary primitive shape of an instrument. Inside the bottle is genuine Grappa."

The 8th box in the Hundertmark series contains fifteen pieces of printed matter in different sizes: four texts on one cardboard, numbered one text stamped, two letters hand written, eight postcards and one postal cheque. The event cards are addressed, and are meant to be sent to Andersen in exchange for some unspecified item he will send in return.

Symposium: Fluxus | Film

A week from today the Logan Center hosts a two-day symposium and screening series that looks at the contributions that Fluxus and Fluxus related artists contributed to cinema. Film and video work will be screened by Wolf Vostell, Nam June Paik, Yoko Ono, George Maciunas, George Brecht, Albert Fine, Ludwig Schönherr, Paul Sharits, Joe Jones, Carolee Schneemann (whose 1964 film Meat Joy is pictured above) and Eric Andersen, who also serves as the keynote speaker.
