Ephemera from the Zaj group, a music and performance art collective that was formed in 1959 in Milan, Italy by composers and intermedia artists Walter Marchetti and Juan Hidalgo, with the support of John Cage. Other participants in the group included the writer, concrete poet and diplomat José Luis Castillejo and performance and interdisciplinary artist Esther Ferrer.
During the 1960s, members of Zaj took part in various Fluxus events organized by George Maciunas, and the Something Else Press included their work in the Great Bear pamphlet series.
Marchetti disbanded the group is in 1993.
