Gwen Allen, Professor of Art History at San Francisco State University and author of Artists' Magazines: An Alternative Space for Art (read my review of the book, here) is speaking at the Charles H. Scott Gallery on January 22nd.
The event is held in conjunction with the gallery's exhibition Aspen Magazine: 1965-1971, on loan from Whitechapel Gallery, which features complete sets of all issues of the groundbreaking periodical. Allen will discuss Aspen within the larger context of artists' magazines.
The event takes place a week from today - Thursday January 22nd - from 6pm, at the ECU Theatre.
