Sound Pages: John Cage's Publications
Mantua, Italy: Corraini Edizioni, 2014
76 pp.,  7.7 x 5.4 x 0.6", softcover
Edition size unknown

John Cage notoriously eschewed recorded music (he preferred to leave the window open and listen to the street) and therefore most of his recorded output was released by other performers. Conversely, his publications were produced with loving attention to detail. The printed scores and bookworks were carefully designed and typographically compelling. Arguably, his book Silence did more to advance his ideas than any of his concert performance.

Available four weeks from today (March 31st) on Amazon, this volume tracks the influence of his printed output with testimony from artists, composers and writers as to its personal impact on them.  It is divided into four sections: books, scores, records and miscellaneous documents such as posters and ephemera.

Pre-order it, here, for $27.50.
