Holiday Recommendations Guest Post #4: Liz Knox
Sarah Nasby
Squiggle Pendant
Toronto, Canada: Self-published, 2015
0.3 × 1.8 × 0.1"
Edition of 25
"I was looking for Art Metropole’s annual Gifts By Artists the other day and instead of coming up empty (it seems it won’t run this year) I noticed their current Window Project is a new multiple by Sarah Nasby, a pendant necklace Squiggle. A ‘collaboration with Adobe Illustrator’ the pendant was made by Nasby’s drawing in Illustrator using the programs auto functions for curves. The completed shape was then 3D printed and cast in sterling silver. As an object it is charming with a sense of humour, much like the idea it started from."
Available at Art Metropole, here, for $125.00 CDN.
Primarily working with language, much of Liz Knox's work exists as artist books, large wall-text installations, videos, sound, drawings and multiples.
