This Friday, Queen Specific, the storefront window gallery operated by artist Joy Walker, launches Christof Migone's
Millefeuille 2, with a reception from 6 to 7pm.
Millefeuille is the French word for a thousand leaves, sheets or pages. It is also a type of pastry (the gallery is adjacent to Dufflet's Pastries, who provide cake for the opening reception). Migone mutilates his own library regularly, whenever he discovers a book with blank page he removes it. The torn page is annotated with the title and author of the book where it originated. The pages are then layered and assembled sculpturally.
