A plexiglass container, commercial hairdryer and ping-pong ball make up this Hirst edition, produced for the 40th issue of Parkett Magazine. The ping-pong ball is kept afloat by a the air of the hairdryer.
The work is part of the ‘Mental Escapology’ series, which also featured beach balls and other items hovering in mid-air.
"Perfect control. An executive toy grown to monstrous proportions, a laboratory specimen jar houses a ping-pong ball held in suspension on the up-draft of a domestic hairdryer."
